Itinerary

Day 1 Ha Noi arrival

  • Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport by flight, will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel for check in. Check in hotel.

Day 2 Ha Noi city tour

  • In the morning we will start our city tour by visiting to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, an important place of pilgrimage for Vietnamese people, Ho Chi Minh’s House on Stilts, built in the style of Vietnam’s ethnic minorities, surrounded by verdant and peaceful gardens, One Pillar Pagoda, built in the 11th century, of wood on a single stone pillar resembling a lotus blossom, symbol of purity, rising out of a sea of sorrow. Temple of Literature, the first university of Vietnam founded in 1070 boasting 82 stone stele with the names, places of birth and achievements of men who received doctorates in each triennial examination from 1442. Continue to Museum of Ethnology – one of the must – visit destinations in Hanoi, which gives an insight into Vietnam’s diverse culture of the 54 ethnic groups (or War Museum).
  • We will continue on foot, taking time to walk around Hoan Kiem lake and the historic Old Quarter of Hanoi with 36 streets named after the goods once sold there.
  • (Note: The Ho Chi Minh mausoleum is closed 2 days a week (Monday & Friday))

Day 3 Ha Noi – Sa Pa – Fansipan

  • 07:00 Pick up at hotel and transfer to Sa Pa (05 hours), visitors will see the terraces, gorgeous mountains and people at work.
  • 12:00 Arrive in Sa Pa Town. Lunch at local restaurant.
  • 13:00 We start our ascent up Fansipan on a 20 minute cable car ride to reach an altitude of 2800meters. Along the way enjoy the spectacular scenery. At the designation you will have time to take photos of the breathtaking view, visit the pagoda (spiritual destination for some) and trek up the 600 steps to reach the peak of Fansipan – The roof of Indochina (we will spend about 1,5 hours here).
  • 17:30 Transfer back to Sa Pa town.

Day 4 Sa Pa – Cat Cat village – Ha Noi

  • 08:00 Transfer to Cat Cat village – village of the minority H’Mong people. Take in the natural landscape of the village as well as the local way of life.
  • 11:00 Lunch at a local restaurant.
  • 12:00 On our way back to Lao Cai we will stop at the border between Vietnam and China for photo opportunities. Transfer back to Ha Noi.
  • 18:00 Arrive in Ha Noi.

Day 5 Ha Noi – Ha Long cruise

  • 08:00 Pick up at hotel for an interesting 4-hour drive to Halong City. Along the way you will see the rich farmlands, water buffalo and people at work.
  • 12:00 Arrive in Ha Long wharf at noon where you will board the cruise ship. Lunch will be served on board the ship. You will visit Ha Long Bay– a world heritage site. Great photo opportunities of shaped islands like Dog island, Incense Burner island, Fighting Cock island and so on. We will also visit Sung Sot cave or Thien Canh Son cave. On the ship you can relax, enjoy the significant sunset have your dinner and a drink or you may choose to do some night fishing before spending the night on board.

Day 6 Ha Long – Ha Noi – Hue

  • Breakfast on board.
  • After breakfast, continue to enjoy the breathtaking scenery as we cruise along the bay. Brunch on the ship. After disembarking, transfer to Noi Bai airport for the flight to Hue. On arrival in Hue, transfer to hotel and check in. Dinner on your own.

Day 7 Hue city tour

  • The guide and driver will meet you at your hotel lobby and start your tour in Hue city.
  • After a 15 minute drive, our group will reach the Imperial Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City, created in the 19thCentury for the Emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty.
  • Next, we will experience local life by visiting Dong Ba market where you will have time to shop for Vietnamese coffee, lotus nuts, cashew nuts and other local products
  • We will continue your day trip by visiting Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the most famous Vietnamese landmarks. After that, take a romantic 40 minute leisure boat ride along the Perfume river.
  • Lunch at a local restaurant at noon.
  • At 14h00 you will depart for Tu Duc Mausoleum which is famous for its poetic scene.
  • At around 16h00, the city tour will come to the end, The evening is free.

Day 8 Hue - Hoi An walking tour

  • The guide and driver will pick you at the hotel then we start our journey to Hoi An town.
  • After an hour and 40 minutes drive, you will pass the Lang Co fishing village where we can have a 20 minute break for photos, we will then continue the journey along Hai Van pass, which is over a spur of the Truong Son Mountain Range that juts into the South East Sea, offering spectacular views along the way.
  • Lunch at a local restaurant in Hoi An.
  • The afternoon is spent strolling through the narrow streets of this atmospheric old town. This former port, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is full of architectural gems that show a range of influences. Around the seventeenth century Hoi An was one of the busiest ports in South East Asia. Enriched by the proceeds of this trade many merchants constructed beautiful homes. You should start by visiting Japanese bridge, Quan Cong temple, Fujian temple, one of the old houses and the local market. Then , take a boat trip on Thu Bon river. Dinner on your own.

Day 9 Hoi An – My Son – Hoi An

  • 08:00 Pick up at your hotel and depart for My Son Sanctuary
  • 10:00 Arrive at My Son. You will explore the stunning ruins of the Champa Kingdom that were built around six centuries ago. It is comprised of many Champa temples, in a valley roughly two kilometers wide, surrounded by two mountain ranges. It was the site of religious ceremonies of kings of the Champa dynasty, and was also a burial place of Champa royals and national heroes. In 1999, the My Son temple complex was recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site. Though the complex has been destroyed over time, there are still many majestic ancient ruins of temples in the area.
  • 12:00 return to Hoi An.
  • Free time in the afternoon.

Day 10 Hoi An – Ho Chi Minh city tour

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Transfer to the Danang airport for your flight to HCMC. Arrive in HCMC, transfer to your hotel.
  • HCMC is not only the most important economic centre in Vietnam, it also has some very imposing colonial architecture which was the center of attention in our fascinating past. Almost a hundred years of French rulers bestowed upon the city with some pearls of colonial architecture. Begin your exploration of this frantic city with lunch at a local restaurant.
  • In the afternoon, visit the Central Post Office, designed by Gustave Eiffel, and the Notre Dame cathedral, inspired by its counterpart in Paris. Next, visit the moved War Remnants museum which presents a partial, but riveting, view of the American war, as it is known in Vietnam. Continue your city tour with a visit to District 5, formerly known as Cho Lon or Chinatown. Cho Lon, or ‘big market’, with its congested streets is where most of the city’s ethnic Chinese population lives. The district lives up to its name in the form of Binh Tay wholesale markets. Founded in 1778 the market sells a stunning array of goods and produce, ranging from fish to incense. We will finish our city tour with a stop at the Thien Hau temple, otherwise known as ‘The Temple of the Heavenly Lady’, to marvel at its intricate friezes and coils of incense. Dinner on your own.

Day 11 HCMC – Tay Ninh – Cu Chi tunnels – HCMC

  • 08:00 Pick up from your hotel to begin the 100km drive from HCMC, along the countryside of Vietnam, to Tay Ninh. On arrival at the head quarters of the Cao Dai religion, you will have a chance to witness the daily ceremony at Cao Dai Holy See, and meet followers who come to attend the ceremony wearing colored robes, a symbol of the curious combination of Confucianism, Taoism, Christianity and Buddhism. Lunch at a local restaurant.
  • Drive to the tunnels of Cu Chi, which houses an immense network of connecting underground tunnels located in the Cu Chi district of Saigon and which are part of a much larger network of tunnels that underline much of the country. Our drive will take us through a pleasant countryside of rubber plantations and rice paddies. At the Cu Chi tunnels, you will watch a short introductory video showing how they were constructed, followed by an exploration of the maze of tunnels, some of which have been widened to allow tourist access. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500lb bombs dropped by B52 bombers. After that transfer back to HCMC.
  • Back to your hotel at around 18h30.

Day 12 HCMC – Cai Be - Vinh Long – Can Tho

  • 08.00 Transfer to Ben Tre. Arrive at Ben Tre town at about 10:00 . Take a boat ride down the Mekong river where you can observe local activities as well as do some sightseeing on river. You will get to see how the local people make bricks, salts, coconut candies in their workshops. As you sail past Cai Son and Nhon Thanh creeks. you will see local families making mats. You’ll then experience sitting in a pull cart (xe loi) to pass through rice fields and vegetable plains.
  • Stop at a local restaurant for for lunch.
  • In the afternoon, you will take a row boat along the water palm creek back to Ben Tre City before heading to Can Tho. Dinner on your own.

Day 13 Can Tho – HCMC

  • 07:00 After an early breakfast at the hotel, you will take a cruise along the small and picturesque tributaries by motorboat to visit the Cai Rang floating market (the nicest one with heaps of rowing boats). You will stop at another village to visit a rice husking mill, and walk around the village to see the beautiful scenery and daily activities of the locals. Have lunch on the way then transfer back to HCMC. Dinner on your own.
